MENEJEMEN KESISWAAN DALAM MENINGKATKAN PRESTASI NON AKADEMIK DI SMP IT AL HIKMAH ANJATAN INDRAMAYU

Abstract

This study aims to describe and analyze the role of student management in improving students' non-academic achievements at SMP IT Al Hikmah Anjatan Indramayu. This study uses a qualitative approach with a case study method. Data collection techniques are carried out through in-depth interviews, participant observation, and documentation. The results of this study, namely, structured and character-based student management at SMP IT Al Hikmah Anjatan Indramayu has proven effective in improving students' non-academic achievements, as reflected in the success of various extracurricular activities that actively involve students and form good attitudes of responsibility, discipline, and cooperation. In addition, intrinsic motivation and an inclusive school culture have a major impact on students' enthusiasm in participating in non-academic activities, where empowerment through participation in decision-making and active mentoring from teachers makes students more independent and responsible for the process and results of their activities. Developing students' talents and interests through activities that suit their individual potentials also encourages increased involvement and achievement, as schools provide space and support for students to channel their interests, whether in the arts, sports, or religion, which significantly contributes to the growth of self-confidence and leadership.
