Abstract

This study aims to provide an in-depth description of the implementation of curriculum management at the Bahrul Ulum Diniyah Islamiyah Islamic Boarding School in Aceh Jaya. The research focuses on four main aspects: curriculum planning, organization, implementation, and evaluation. This research stems from the urgency of managing a pesantren curriculum, which must integrate religious and general education, and pesantren values to maintain relevance to current developments without abandoning the pesantren's distinctive traditions. The method used was a qualitative approach with field research. Data were collected through direct observation, in-depth interviews with the pesantren leadership, ustaz (Islamic teachers), and students, as well as documentation studies. Data analysis was conducted through the stages of data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing, resulting in a comprehensive picture of curriculum management practices at the pesantren. The results indicate that curriculum planning is carried out collaboratively, taking into account the institution's vision and mission, community needs, and national education developments. Learning is organized through a clear division of tasks between the leadership, the principal, teachers, and administrators, thus fostering effective coordination. The curriculum emphasizes a balance between religious and general knowledge, as well as strengthening students' moral values, independence, and social skills. Curriculum evaluation is conducted periodically through deliberation forums, evaluation meetings, and daily monitoring, serving as a means for continuous improvement and innovation. The research findings demonstrate that curriculum management at the Bahrul Ulum Diniyah Islamiyah Aceh Jaya Islamic Boarding School emphasizes not only cognitive achievement but also fosters religious character, life skills, and student adaptability. This demonstrates that the Islamic boarding school possesses a unique and relevant curriculum management model to address the challenges of contemporary Islamic education.
